Located in Nevada, Iowa, our Medical Center delivers high quality healthcare in a community-oriented manner in more than two dozen services and specialties.
As a Patient Registration Clerk you will:
Answers all incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner; transfers calls to appropriate staff Verifies insurance eligibility via Passport or phone - either prior to appointment or as patient is being registered Addresses patients with any eligibility and/or balance concerns Verifies and accurately records patient demographics Distributes financial assistance paperwork to patients requesting assistance Maintains effective communication between departments.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
High school education or equivalent required Knowledge of computer programs required BCLS certified within 60 days of hire Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
Previous medical registration or office experience preferred.
Must have good interpersonal communication and organizational skills Knowledge of medical office practices and procedures Additional Information:
