This is at Burke Corporation located in Nevada, IA Sanitation Department 3rd Shift 9:

to 7:

m Extended hours will be needed-including weekends.
Team Leaders will potentially work in environments below 40 degrees and in areas more than 100 degrees.
Responsibilities:
Leads team members in the Sanitation process Performs sanitation orientation involving specialized training for working with chemicals and special PPE Performs disciplinary meetings with team members when needed and documents counseling.
Promotes and displays a Safety First mindset Resolves conflict/disputes between team members and communicates documentation to management and HR Works with chemical rep to continuously improve chemistry and cleaning procedures Manages weekly chemical ordering and inventory Works cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and QA departments Performs and completes monthly safety documents/audits and monthly meetings on time Manages team members in attaining production and quality goals Ensures appropriate resources (including materials, equipment, and staffing needs) are available to maintain production schedules.
Supports continuous improvement processes to ensure that goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service are met.
Creates and maintains an engaged and team-oriented work force to improve business results.
Team Leaders are usually on their feet in the production area about 85% of the shift.
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:

year as a shift lead or supervisor with Sanitation experience Proven leadership, persuasive, initiative, analytical, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position.
RTE (ready to eat) food experience is a plus Knowledge of sanitation systems / process for food plant, USDA plant preferred Training:
Team Leaders will attend a virtual Inspired Hires orientation.
This will include presentations by different divisions to increase product knowledge, company knowledge, and leadership skills.
6-month operational training program while on the job.
